Taylor’s debut solo LP, CMFT (an acronym for “Corey Mother Fucking Taylor”), was released in October 2020 and is followed by the B-sides album.
A cover of John Caffery & the Beaver Brown Band’s “On The Dark Side” is the first release. According to Taylor, the song is “one of the greatest rock tunes ever” (as transcribed by Blabbermouth). To perform live, “It’s one of our favorite songs.”
During the conversation, Taylor also stated that he hopes to perform some solo gigs in the future. “We’re working on a few projects at a time. Our recent ShipRocked event was a blast… It appears that we’ll play a handful of events in the United Kingdom in October, perhaps interspersed with Slipknot’s tour dates there. In order to not distract ourselves too much from working on the next album, we’re just going to do it on occasion.
